Day 1: Arrival Cairo
Arrive to Cairo International Airport. Upon arrival you will be greeted by Santa Maria Tours representative and then transferred to your Hotel for check in, free time to relax with overnight stay in Cairo.
Day 2: Cairo
Today we start a Full-day outing to a city rich in wonders and mysteries, Egypt's capital and Africa's largest city is a mesmerizing mix of sights, sounds and ancient monuments. Drive to The Giza Plateau, where your qualified Egyptologist guide will provide a detailed introduction to each of the three Pyramids: Cheops, Khafre and Menakaure, and their guardian, the Sphinx, after drive to Memphis where we see the limestone Colossus of Ramses II. Continue on to Sakkara to view the Step Pyramid of Zoser I, which is the oldest in the world. Back to hotel. Overnight in Cairo. (Breakfast)
Day 3: Cairo / St. Catherine
Head east this morning. After driving through the tunnel under the Suez Canal, look out for the huge cargo ships as they negotiate this famous waterway. Continuing south proceed to visit Moses Springs cross the Sinai Peninsula to St. Catherine where there is a time to relax before an optional ascent of Sinai Mountain. Overnight in St.Catherine Camp. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 4: St.Catherine / Dahab
Morning, enjoy guided visit of St. Catherine's Monastery, which is one of the most remarkable religious sights in Egypt. The visit will include the spectacular museum, which holds some of the world’s most impressive artworks. After we board our coach to Dahab, the activity and leisure centre of Egypt, where we relax and overnight. Overnight in Dahab. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 5: Dahab
Gratify the magical atmosphere, &enjoy the activities available in Dahab: snorkeling, fishing, diving, windsurfing. Overnight Camp in Dahab. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 6: Dahab / Ras Sudr
We then pack our bags back and depart for Ras Sudr , this coastal resort with its amazing snorkeling, diving, windsurfing, sailing and swimming facilities. The warm waters are fantastically clear for snorkeling and diving where we rest & spend the night before departing to Sharm el Naga (aprox:40 K.M. from Hurghada) next day. Overnight in Ras Sudr . Day 7: Ras Sudr -Sharm el Naqa
Morning, take the bus and depart for Sharm el Naga (aprox: 40 K.M. from Hurghada), one of the best diving and snorkeling spots in the world. Stop to visit St. Paul's considered to be the oldest Christian monastery in the world, dating back to the 4th Century Hidden deep in the Red Sea Mountains. Overnight Sharm el Naga. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 8: Sharm el Naqa:
Enjoy some snorkeling hours watching the amazing collection of the colored fish and coral reefs; your evening is at leisure Overnight in Sharm el Naga. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 9: Sharm el Naqa / Hurghada
You are invited to have a visit to Hurghada & mix with the crowd, where you can spend some time to enjoy shopping & experience Hurghada Nightlife. Overnight Sharm el Naqa. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 10: Sharm el Naqa - Luxor
Morning enjoy your bus ride to our next station. One of the world's greatest Open-Air Museums, the 4000 year old site of ancient Thebes - known today as Luxor, where you will be transferred to your tour hotel. Later we visit the grand Temple of Luxor & Karnak Temple which dominates the town & Overnight Luxor. (Breakfast)
Day 11: Luxor
Our day starts with the discovery of the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut who ruled Egypt about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty, and finally stop at the awesome Colossi of Memnon, which are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Your evening is at leisure overnight in Luxor. (Breakfast)
Day 12: Luxor / Edfu / Kom Ombo / Aswan
Early in the morning say Goodbye to Luxor & depart to Aswan, first stop will be in Edfu to visit Horus Temple. The temple is dedicated to the falcon god Horus and was built in the period from 237 BC to 57 BC, & also a second stop at Kom Ombo to explore the Temple of Kom Ombo. The temple is unique because it is in fact a double temple, dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god, and Horus the falcon-headed God. Continue to Aswan where we spend the evening and Overnight in Aswan. (Breakfast)
Day 13: Aswan
In the morning visit Aswan High Dam, as well as the Philae Temple, and finally the massive Unfinished Obelisk. This afternoon is at leisure offering a chance to explore Aswan and an optional city tour. Overnight in Aswan. (Breakfast)
Day 14: Aswan / Abu Simbel
Early Morning, travel by bus to visit the mighty Sun Temple of Abu Simbel, flanked by four giant stone statues of Ramses II and the smaller Temple of Hathor. The temple was reclaimed from the dam and reconstructed in its present and unforgettable location. Back to Aswan. This afternoon, enjoy a relaxed visit to the picturesque Botanical Gardens by Felucca, before taking first class sitting train back to Cairo. (Breakfast)
Day 15: Cairo
Arrive in Cairo where you will be driven from Giza station to your hotel. Today we enjoy a full day of sightseeing which will include the Egyptian Museum, to see the amazing treasure recovered from the tomb of Tutankhamun. Later, visit the Citadel of Salah El Din, with its panoramic view of the city and then visit Mohammed Ali the Alabaster Mosque, then onto Old Cairo where famous churches are situated like Hanging Church, St.Serguis & Ben Azra Synagogue. Back to hotel and overnight in Cairo. (Breakfast)
Day 16: Departure
This morning there's time to bid farewell to this unforgettable country and new-found friends as we transfer you to the Airport for your return flight home. |
