Built in the style of a Georgian manor, with white stucco exterior and classical columns, this hotel is situated in the upmarket suburb of Heliopolis. A palm-lined driveway leads to the marble lobby, hung with chandeliers. Architectually the building is one of the grandest that exists in Cairo and was built during the colonial period. It is a large low rise property built in the style of a huge manor house.
The cool marble floored lobby with pale colored walls and gracious chandeliers that hang from the white corniced ceiling, is a true reflection of the hotel's traditional country mansion style and this continues through the public areas and into the guest rooms. All 320 rooms and suites are light and airy with balconies and include thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers.
The Concorde El Salam has an outdoor swimming pool, and a separate children's pool. The Zing Health Club and Spa offers a fitness room, sauna, hot tub, Turkish bath, and massage treatments. Internet access and complimentary newspapers are available, and room service is offered 24 hours a day.
The Concorde El Salam has a gourmet selection of excellent restaurants serving local, International, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Italian and Lebanese cuisine for your dining pleasure. Abou Aouf Cafe serves traditional Egyptian and Lebanese dishes and a belly dancer and band perform regularly. La Veranda and the Petit are open during the summer months only.
Nine meeting rooms are available at the hotel, the largest holding up to 450 persons. |
