Day 1: Arrival Cairo
Welcome to Cairo, the city of mysterious pyramids and pharaohs, upon arrival you will be greeted & assisted by Santa Maria Tours representatives & transferred by private A/C coach to your selected hotel in Cairo. Check in, Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2: Cairo
Board the bus for a full day sightseeing, we will start the day by paying our respects to the Sphinx, the great lion sentinel of the plateau with its craved body of a lion and the headdress of the Pharaohs. We then visit the 3 Pyramids of the Plateau of Kings Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. After we will travel to the Old Kingdom Necroplis of Saqqara with its Step Pyramid of King Zoser, then continue to Memphis Ancient Egypt’s old capital and view the statue of Ramses II. Back to our hotel. Overnight in Cairo. (Breakfast)
Day 3: Cairo
Today we start our full day tour visiting the Egyptian Museum of antiquities, the largest precious collection of Egyptian art around the world, which Includes the treasures of the Boy King Tutankhamun enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years ago before it was discovered in the 1920s. Then visit the Citadel of Saladin that was built in 12th Century, Alabaster Mosque and Mosque of Ibn Tulun. In the late afternoon visit to the famous Khan El Khalili Bazzaar. Back to hotel. Day 4: Wadi El Natrun
Travel on the desert road of Cairo direction Alexandria into that Wadi Natrun. Wadi el Natrun, situated in a valley dotted with oases. Visit one of the four quietly inhabited monasteries of the Coptic Monasteries of this area and learn about Coptic faith Meeting with Coptic Christians and the monk community. Return trip to Cairo: Attendance in Old Cairo, visit the Hanging Church (El Muallaqa) one of the oldest churches in Egypt and the history of the church dates to the 3rd century A.D and Ben Ezra synagog. Back to Hotel. Overnight in Cairo. (Breakfast)
Day 5: Tell Basta / Tanis / Ismailia
Travel into the eastern delta area, inspection of Tell Basta. Here Jesus caused a water-spring to well up from the ground and his presence caused the idols to crumble, as foretold by the prophets of old. The townfolk, in consequence, turned malevolent and aggressive, whereupon the Holy Family turned their backs on the town. Further after Tanis. Tanis was an important City in the pharaonic period. Many believe that this was the Biblical city from which the Exodus began. Proceed to Ismailia check in the hotel and Overnight. (Breakfast)
Day 6: St. Catherine
After Breakfast. Cross the Suez Canal and proceed to visit Moses Springs, from here on to Wadi Feiran. Steeped in biblical mystery, it was here, that Moses struck a rock with his staff, bringing forth a spring so his people could drink. It is said that a journey through Feiran is to pass through an entire chapter of the Old Testament (Exodus 17). Visit the Monastery of Nuns. Continue St. Catherine for Overnight. (Breakfast)
Day 7: St. Catherine / Nuweiba
Early morning we begin our ascent on Mount Sinai, walking in the footsteps of the devoted pilgrims who tread this route centuries earlier. We should reach the summit just before dawn in time to witness its incredible sunrise and splendid views. Descending the mountain we return to the hotel for breakfast. We spend the later part of morning touring the Monastery of St. Catherine, taking in its fascinating and unique sights and exceptional history. Following we board our car to Nuweiba. Arrive Nuweiba. Check in the hotel and overnight. (Breakfast)
Day 8: Nuweiba
Day free at leisure in Nuweiba. (Breakfast)
Day 9: Nuweiba / Cairo
After Breakfast. We board our car, leaving Nuweiba behind us as we head west to Cairo and get there by evening. Check in the hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 10: Cairo
Breakfast. You will be met by our representative and transfer to Cairo Airport where you will be helped for check-in and immigration formalities for your flight back home. (Breakfast)
